things you may not know about me

1. i don't like to walk on the ground when it's wet. i will walk on my toes for an entire trip outside just so my whole foot is not exposed to the (icky! eerily!) wet ground.
2. i am not a big chocolate person. except for about 3-4 days every month. so if i'm craving chocolate...
3. i have a freckle on my eyeball.
4. i like the smell of skunk. and a paper mill. they both disgust me, but i have to keep inhaling deeply for some reason.
5. i keep myself really busy so i don't have time to sit around and think, because sometimes that can be self-destructive.
6. i collect recipes i never intend to cook.
7. my ribcage and hips touch each other, even when i am standing up.
8. i don't even like cheerleading (okay, i like it, but am so happy i don't do it all the time anymore).
9. i would rather be cold than hot.
10. i have aspirations to compete in triathalons.
11. my favorite red wines are barolos and cabernet sauvignons.
12. as a child, i aspired to be a horsebacking riding underwater archaeologist who also taught at a university (i loved horseback riding, swimming, and archaeology and wanted to be a teacher so i combined them all into a single career).
13. i am tempted to just up and move to seattle sometimes.
14. i truly believe that Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
15. i am a sucker for an emotional man.
16. i am anal retentive about q-tipping my ears.
17. i would rather have something sting than itch.
18. i am VERY allergic to cats, dust, and some grasses and pollen.
19. i once claimed to be allergic to tootsie rolls.
20. i don't really love strawberries.
21. i have a magnetic nose. anything hard and/or sharp is immediately drawn to it.
22. i love bananas, pineapple, kiwi, raspberries, nectarines, and grapes.

25. if i had to pick one food to eat at every meal for the rest of my life, it would be tomatoes.
26. i don't like birds; i think they are inherently dirty.
27. i have never lost money gambling. i love slot machines. and i win.
28. i have an oversized tongue; my orthodontist actually advised reduction surgery at one point during my teenage years.
29. i am in love with the most wonderful, perfect-for-me man.

40. i have dog-sledded on a glacier.

49. i like to make new concoctions with food and combine it in weird ways.
50. i am attracted to pretty boys. huge bulky muscles aren't really my thing. i have also been attracted to punk, indie rock grungy guys.
51. i wish i had a british accent. or at least that i could fake one well.

okay, some of those things are well-known stephie facts, but some are pretty new for a lot of people.

had fun this weekend in clearwater. parts that were NOT fun included: getting to the airport 2 hours early and getting through security in 5 minutes, sleeping in an unairconditioned bedroom, reaching allergenic overload in apartment with cat, choreographing for 10 hours saturday, weird, FREAKY dreams and freakout session on friday night. AAAAH! but i love that coach, the girls, the area, and choreographing in general. it was a successful weekend.

okay, i have 4 weddings before october. and i have already have like 80 gabillion this summer already. but i love them. i love the check out all the details, and look at all the pictures and happy people and dance the night away with people i don't even know. i cry at the ceremony sometimes. and sometimes i giggle at all the crazy things they do during them these days. and i always get teary-eyed when the dad gives the daughter away if she is the reason i am at the wedding. next wedding: birmingham, al this next weekend for a best family friend. should be a good time. woot woot!

crazy week at work coming up...presentation at my organization's 7:30a board meeting tomorrow (M) morning, various meetings, 2 new projects (one of which solely consists of bugging people to give me stuff), 6-month employee review and education day, and well, that might be it! :)

oh yeah, and cheerleading practice starts up again this tuesday. ugh.
